Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf Wins Club of the Year Second Time in a Row at the 101st District Conference

The Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf, under the leadership of Action President Louis Shamim, has once again stamped its authority as one of the most outstanding clubs in the district after returning home with an impressive nine awards from the 101st District Conference and Assembly (DCA) held in Munyonyo.

The club’s remarkable performance was crowned by winning the prestigious Club of the Year Award for the second consecutive year, having also claimed the same title in the previous Rotary year. The back-to-back victory is a clear reflection of the club’s consistency, impact, and commitment to excellence.

Among the accolades received were;

Club of the Year
Adaptability Excellence Award – Awarded to the club for being one of the most innovative clubs in the district, including operating a functional AI system that records and stores club projects, activities, and information.
DCA Attendance Award (1st Runners Up) – Earned after the club proudly turned up with 14 delegates at the District Conference and Assembly.
Rotaract Image Award – In recognition of the club’s strong media presence, having made over 1,000 posts across its social media platforms and secured over 50 stories across Next Media outlets and the club website from 1st July to date.
Joint Project Excellence Award (Partner Club) – DG’s Award
100% Giving Goals Award – Achieved after every member contributed at least $10 to The Rotary Foundation.
TRF Winner Award – Awarded after the club raised an outstanding total of $3,700 towards The Rotary Foundation.

The awards highlight a year defined by innovation, teamwork, and service. Throughout the year, the club distinguished itself through creative projects, strong member engagement, impactful partnerships, and a vibrant public image that inspired many across the district.

A major pillar of the club’s success was its commitment to The Rotary Foundation (TRF). The Rotaract Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf proudly topped both districts in foundation giving after raising an outstanding $3,700, demonstrating the club’s dedication to supporting life-changing Rotary initiatives around the world.

The club credited much of its success to the activeness, creativity, innovation, and dedication of its members, whose energy and teamwork made the achievements possible. The club also recognized the close collaboration with its mother club, the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf, whose guidance and partnership played a key role in the journey.

Speaking after the awards, members expressed gratitude for the leadership of Action President Louis Shamim, the support received, and the opportunity to serve through the club.
